Website redesign: Mental Health Mates
Mental Health Mates started with a single tweet in 2016, when Bryony Gordon invited others to join her for a walk around the Serpentine. Since then, it has grown to become a network of walks across the globe, supported by the team at Mental Health Mates and Wagamama. In 2020, a new logo and brand guidelines were created and, once they were ready, a website redesign was required.
Website redesign
We built the first Mental Health Mates website back in 2016. When the logo and brand guidelines were created in 2019 it was time for a refresh. As we built the website using Wordpress CMS, there was no need to lose the existing content or page structure in order to update the look and feel of the site.
Key functionality
As well as a clean and fresh look and feel, the website needed to be fully mobile responsive.
One of the key aims of the site is to support local community groups organising walks within their area. This helps provide peer support to people with mental health challenges. The website has an online events system for the Mental Health Mates team to add all forthcoming meet ups.
