This Guildford small business website was needed because local fitness company, Melita Fitness, were fed up with their old site as it was nearing end of life with PHP version and because “it made me groan every time I looked at it”!
Refreshed content
We used some of the existing content and worked together to create fresh new content.
The new website has a better balance of text, icons and images to help visitors navigate to the information that they need.
One point of contact
Updating the website was a good time to move Melita away from their old hosting service so that all their questions regarding the website, domain and email could be answered by one point of contact: Business Arch.
Improved technical SEO
Despite spending time working on the technical search engine optimisation of the old site, we hadn’t managed to achieve more than 67% health score in the audits. With the new site up and running, the site is now scoring 97%. This means that 97% of pages within the website contain no errors or warnings that can cause problems for search engines and is a much better sign of a website working as it should.
What Chris had to say
“Before Jenny came on board, I had spent a few years cringing at my website. It was dated, looked bad and didn’t flow.
“But I didn’t really want to do anything about it because I thought it would be too painful.
“I was wrong! Jenny managed the process in its entirely so that it the opposite of painful! I particularly enjoyed NOT having to make a million design decisions. She completely understood my needs and delivered a website that I’m proud of! And that completely represents my business and brand.”
Guildford small business website
Melita does offer online courses in which participation can be from anywhere, but the majority of the target market for Melita are local to Guildford where the group training sessions run. As a result we made sure that the website has clear local schema applied.
